CommentsThe fact that the argument is more about who has the right to allow this woman to die, rather than that the death these callous people are proposing is hideous to me. Death by starvation and dehydration is inhumane and immoral. No human being in their right mind, ever told their guardian to be, "gee honey, if I ever become incapacitated and you have to make a decision for me, it's fine with me, if you make a decision for me to die by starvation, and allow me to die a death of torture and unjustifiable physical pain and suffering." We have guardians because we cannot speak for ourselves. Doctors who take oaths to protect and serve who are willing to take part in such hanous and cruel acts should lose their licenses. The courts should give custody to the parents. Michael should be able to "get on with his life." And the tube should be reinserted immediately. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE A HUMANE PEOPLE.
