In Line
Standing in line, she wondered what she had done with her life. Was she deserving of what she was about to recieve or would a trap door come open beneath her and she would fall in the perilous pit of doom where you burned in the dark for eternity. Hmm...looks like more than just people in this line she thought to herself as she seen a dog in front of her and a cat with three legs. There was a camel four kilometers behind her. Ah all in line, there was no turning back, the end of the line, finally doomsday had taken place. She wondered what it would be like living in the pearly city of gold ah! It was breath taking just to look at the divine columns with ivory and gemstones set in gold. Would it be to much for her, she noticed a pattern going one person would step on the escalator to go over the city gates, the other took the door beneath their feet flung open and they would fall beneath. Ah she was afraid of heights, either way Raven was screwed. Raven's name didn't too well fit her, sitting bettween a bunch of livestocks and middle aged drunks was something she never thought she would be doing living her last few days in judgement. Raven should have been named Auburn or Red. Her hair was the brightest auburn, she didn't like it because her fair skin didn't fit it, she was as white as the chicken that was about to fall beneath. She was big, it was no excuse but her own, she tried many times to lose it, but it just kept building up and becoming more baggage to carry around. Besides that matter, she had carried emotional matter. She finally stepped up to the palette. The angel smiled at Raven as he stuck his hand out to shake it, I think you are the 500th person that is going to get another chance at life, but you only have five minutes to choose Heaven from Earth, which will it be. She heard the tune from Jeapardy playing in her mind as she were to decide, finally a gong crashed into her ears. I choose to go back. My life is unresolved and it needs to be helped. Can I have divine guideness to help me out along the way. Sure. I think it would be great, I wish more people would ask.
The Clock radio struck and she woke up pinched herself to see if she were still alive. She laughed haha! Another chance at life. But then she couldn't determine whether it be a dream or reality. She could recollect the whole even, she felt herself being lifted from the earth to heaven, She felt the plank beneath her feet as she stepped aboard, so at this point in time how do you determine fact from reality. Reality was she was about 10 minutes ready for work, she jumped in the shower, looked at herself in the mirror and was given a chance again to lay off the extra pounds and she determined she didn't have to live that way so a diet was going to be something she was going to start over again. She dressed in the nicest outfit she had for work and put on her jogging shoes so that she could go for a walk. It was a block away, she usually would stand in front of the television and eat a bagel, the news always depressed her so she left the television off and grabbed a granola bar and a cup of coffee and walked to work only to make it right into the office on time for the boss to unexpectedly smile and greet her kindly, it didn't happen to often but she noticed that the change was present and she liked Raven's new presence. Little did she know Raven was a new being. She didn't dare explain what had taken place because someone would have told her what a nut she was. It was nothing usual, everyone had some sort of revelation in their live regardless of what it was. ;) She had a ring on her cell-phone in the tune of desperado. She took her call while she checked the emails on her computer. She had all of her groups in order and a "Sam" kept popping up. Angel had called her, she didn't perticullarly like angel because sometimes when you don't like yourself that person is a reflection of yourself, and that's the way she viewed herself better than angel, but she simply more than liked her. She met angel at Staples, Angel had a friend she wanted Raven to meet, they were all going to lunch together and lunch thought to herself for a bit, new diet, no fattening food, angel liked to eat fattening foods and wouldn't even add an ounce, she simply put in easy words. Angel...I know just the place they have these fantastic veggie dinners you will go wild over.
She got another call on her Cell phone, it was the angel that gave her a second chance, he had an assignment for her, she had to take orders from the angel that gave her second chance. So she groaned a little. He said this has to be something you want to do or it won't work. Have you read any of my emails? He asked Raven replied no she never paid attention, he demanded that she paid attention to all of Sam's emails. Sam, a desperate man wanted someone to listen to him, he was begging for someone to help him, she thought to herself, she was in the same boat, given a second chance, it was something that could be taken on again. Sam was going to get the help he needed, he needed room and board and she was going to give him a little dignity by cleaning house to pay his way, but was it going to be alright? I mean, taking on too much at one time was something that put her in the line in the first place, was the angel a neorotic bit of her personality coming out as a means of stress? One would only know. :) :) :)
She met angel at the Veggie Resteraunt, she was suprised to find angel's hunk wound up looking like the camel that was ten people behind her, She finally put her hands over her head and screamed stop the insanity. Raven woke up instantly looking around the room, no Angel, no camel, no Sam, just the reflection of herself in a nightgown two sizes too small.
